What Is the Teacher Incentive Allotment?
HB 3 established the Teacher Incentive Allotment (TIA) to recognize effective teachers on three different levels: Recognized, Exemplary and Master. These teacher designations generate additional teacher-focused allotment funding for districts in order for them to reward their top performers.

Performance Pay
$3,000 is put in a performance pay pool per teacher. Utilizing the NIET’s TAP System for Teacher and Student Advancement, our district changed the current pay system by providing additional compensation to teachers based on new roles and responsibilities, their accomplishments in the classroom and/or the performance of their students.
